Are the rocks above your friend’s house in what was called Rhodes Matopas park? The look familiar.
Simon, hi,
No – they were on his farm which was next to ours in Melfort, near Salisbury (Harare). Rock formations like these are quite common – there was an area near Salisbury called ‘Balancing Rocks’, which was a local attraction, but there were lots of places you could find them. These ones looked good because the house was at the foot of a slope and the rocks were a little way up, making them look both imposing and unstable.
Cheers,
Martin.
