… and it turns out that Renault is being investigated for race fixing.
What a weekend.
Despite crashing out (through no fault of his own, by all accounts) Jenson’s championship lead was only cut by 2 points – thanks to Rubens having a problem with his clutch at the start.
And springing an oil leak at the end, which resulted in his car bursting into flames in parc ferme.
Jenson has been unbelievably lucky this year.
Several other teams have made great strides forward, which has resulted in a different winner at each of the past 5 races. That’s meant that his championship lead has only been cut by 10 points – from 26 to 16.
Lady luck has definitely been with him.
He can’t rely on her forever, though. He needs to get back to winning ways, and quickly.
And congratulations, too, to Fisi and Force India – incredible performance from them!
And then we have the story of Renault being investigated for fixing the Singapore GP last year. Here’s a report.
What an exciting weekend that was!
