And why not..? He’s 18 points behind Button with 7 races to go – absolutely Webber can win the championship.
But what gets me is that by the 2nd or third race of the season everyone was saying Button was going to win it.
Now the talk is of his ‘rapidly shrinking lead’. It’s dropped from 26.5 points to 18.5 points over the last 3 races – a drop of 8 points for an average of 2.6 points per race.
Wouldn’t it be great if, just once in a while, the pundits and the media took a balanced, rational and circumspect view of things.
But of course that wouldn’t sell – so it’ll never happen.
(I do hope Brawn get their act together, though)
