Williams Opposes Schumacher's Testing

I’m not having a personal go at MS or his return to racing, but I am pleased to see the points I made yesterday being echoed by 3 of the F1 teams: Williams, Red Bull and Torro Rosso

Alguesuari made his F1 debut at Hungay without the benefit of any testing – and he was a rookie.  If anyone needed the benefit of testing prior to his first race, he did.

Not just for his own sake, but for the safety of the drivers around him.

So why should it be OK for MS, winner of 91 GP’s, to test?

Smacks of one rule for some and another for the others to me.

The trio also point out that the Ferrari test drivers both have testing miles in the F60, so why not use them?  Especially as that’s what they’re there for.

The FIA have promised an enquiry.

But it’s a bit late for that as MS has already spent a day in the car. No doubt they’ll turn a blind eye because MS (or Ferrari) are involved.

Here’s today’s article.
